Patricia Fletcher
Patricia Fletcher is a registered nutritionist with special interest in health promotion. She has recently acquired the title Corporate Wellness Consultant after completing a certification course in Population Health Management Systems.
Patricia had worked in nutrition, mental development research and community projects at the The Tropical Metabolism Research Unit, University Hospital of the West Indies for over 6 years. After gaining experience in family business, she launched off in 2000, emphasizing the inseparable links between proper eating habits and exercise, more specifically rebounding (using the mini-trampoline) and continuous heart rate monitoring. She entered private practice as a nutrition and lifestyle consultant, delivering talks at school, health centres community centres, churches, and participating in the JAMFIT and JAPINAD expos and at conferences for Blue Cross of Jamaica, Medical Association of Jamaica and the University Diabetic Outreach Project. She was also on several radio interviews, such as Hot 102 with Ronny Thwaites, Clinical Expressions on RJR with Dr. Earl Wright and television appearances “Smile Jamaica its Morning Time”. She was also a part-time lecturer at University of Technology and is presently employed, on a part-time basis, in the Wellness program at JAMALCO in W for almost 3 years.
The health connection crystallized the major interest in Corporate Wellness and the need for getting the health message out to large naturally occurring groups, such as, the work force, schools, communities and churches.
Patricia’s vision is simply to make a significant positive impact on the health of this nation. She is a Trinidadian, married to Bruce, and a Jamaican for over 22 years with 4 children ages 18 to 11 years of age.
