Overview
We successfully hosted the 2nd 2-day Wellness Training Seminar entitled ‘Developing Successful Health Management Systems’ in Montego Bay. In response to the many requests from companies in Kingston, we have decided to host a 1-day seminar entitled ‘Corporate Wellness Programme Design’ on September 19, 2006 at the Knutsford Court Hotel.
This 1-day seminar was previously conducted and successfully completed with rave reviews by over 45 branch representatives of a major financial institution. See the programme schedule.
In addition to receiving a hands-on approach to planning a programme, participants will also be prepared to be actively involved in another upcoming 2-day seminar, entitled ‘Implementing Intervention Strategies’ on November 6-7, 2006. This course helps to further develop your options for successful risk reduction programmes and secure the intervention stage for greater sustainability, implemented by you or competent staff members and incorporated into the company’s culture.
The September seminar is best suited for persons who will be or are responsible for planning and/or implementing an organization’s wellness programme. The November seminar will also benefit all involved in the development process from management/planners to participants and or implementers of the programme by increasing their understanding of how the process can be incorporated in a seamless manner and still effect change.
Registration Fees
The registration fees are US$210 plus GCT and US$400 plus GCT respectively with early bird deadlines (discount of US$50 off/ also group discounts of $US$10 off, where 2 or more persons from the same company attend) being one month before the dates. These fees include the seminar manual with power point presentations, lunch and two breaks (snack/stretch) and a brief biometric-lifestyle assessment. The presenter for the 2nd seminar in November will be Dr. Gerard McLane, a well-known US-based health promotion specialist, who has previously been with us.
